David L. Linemeyer, Ph.D., Vice President, Biology, joined Senomyx in May 2009. Dr. Linemeyer has more than 20 years of experience in directing biology research programs and collaborative research projects in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, including Bayer Corporation, Merck & Co., Inc., and Metabasis Therapeutics, Inc. His expertise includes the characterization of novel receptors and the establishment of receptor-based assays. Dr. Linemeyer received Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Microbiology from the University of Washington, Seattle, WA, and a B.S. in Microbiology, Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO. He is an inventor on numerous patents and is a co-author of approximately 50 scientific publications.
