Senomyx's Scientific Advisory Board is composed of 15 internationally recognized scientists with expertise in neurobiology, food chemistry, enzyme chemistry, molecular and cellular biology, molecular pharmacology, carbohydrate chemistry, sensory processes, and other fields that are related to Senomyx's discovery and development efforts. The Scientific Advisory Board was established in 1999 and includes four of the scientific founders of the Company. It generally functions to advise us concerning long-term scientific planning and research and development activities, and it also evaluates Senomyx's research programs, recommends personnel to us, and advises us on specific scientific and technical issues.
