SENOMYX, INC. NAMES ADDITIONAL BOARD MEMBERS
LA JOLLA (May 9, 2000) Senomyx, Inc. announced today that Dr. David Schnell, Managing Partner, Prospect Venture Partners and Mr. Kevin C. Tang, Managing Director at Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown have joined the Board of Directors of the company. "We are delighted to add the impressive talents of Dr. Schnell and Mr. Tang to our already outstanding Board," stated Dr. Stryer. "This group of seasoned and experienced individuals will help ensure that Senomyx achieves its goal of becoming the world leader in the area of taste and olfaction." Also serving as members are Dr. Lubert Stryer, Chairman and Chief Scientific Officer of Senomyx; Mr. Paul A. Grayson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Senomyx; Mr. Kevin J. Kinsella, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ancile Pharmaceuticals; Dr. Lori Robson, Managing Partner, Bay City Capital; and Mr. Tim Wollaeger, General Partner, Kingsbury Capital Partners, LLP III.
Dr. James C. Blair, General Partner of Domain Associates, has relinquished his board seat, but remains an active participant in the company and now assumes the role of Board observer. "We are excited about the additions to the board and also want to thank Dr. Blair for his stellar leadership during the early stages of the company. We look forward to a continued productive relationship with him," stated Mr. Grayson.
