Senomyx 2008 Highlights

Announced that Senomyx and Firmenich SA, the world's largest privately-owned fragrance and flavor company, entered into a collaborative commercialization and license agreement for S2383, Senomyx's novel enhancer of the high-intensity sweetener sucralose.  

Announced that Senomyx was notified by the Flavor and Extract Manufacturers Association (FEMA) that its sucralose enhancer, S2383, was determined to be Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) under the provisions of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, administered by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA). 

Announced the receipt of a payment from The Coca-Cola Company related to a milestone achieved by Senomyx under the companies’ collaborative research, development, commercialization and license agreement.

Announced that Senomyx and Solae, the leading supplier of soy protein for food products, reached critical milestones in their collaboration to develop bitter blockers that improve the taste of soy protein.  

Announced the initiation of development activities for a new sucrose enhancer, S6973. 

Announced the extension of Senomyx's exclusive collaborative research and license agreement with Cadbury Adams USA LLC, a unit of Cadbury plc, for the discovery and commercialization of new flavor ingredients in the gum confectionary area through July 2009. 

Announced that Senomyx and The Coca-Cola Company have expanded and extended their collaborative research, development, commercialization and license agreement for an additional two years.  

Announced the two-year extension of Senomyx's collaborative research and license agreement with Nestlé SA, the world's largest food and beverage company, relating to the discovery and commercialization of new flavor ingredients for use in the dehydrated and culinary food and frozen food fields.  
Announced the identification of SNMX-29, which Senomyx believes is the primary receptor responsible for human salt taste perception. The Company believes this is a key scientific discovery that was made using Senomyx's unique knowledge of taste and taste receptors. 

Announced the initiation of a new Cool Flavor Program based on Senomyx's validated cool receptor technology. Also announced a new collaborative research, development, commercialization and license agreement with Firmenich SA, the world's largest privately-owned fragrance and flavor company, for novel flavor ingredients intended to provide a cooling taste effect.
